Couples Counselling

I offer counselling to couples seeking help to explore difficulties in thier relationship.

As they grow together, partners may find that life throws up various challenges, such as having a family, money worries and difficulties, caring for elderly or infirm relatives,  trust issues, conflicts, adultery, sexual difficulties, coping with bereavement or addiction problems. Challenges like these can break a couple apart. In couples counselling the ‘client’ is the relationship. Each partner brings their own sense of what the issues are. It can be hard for each individual to let go of anger or resentment in order to really hear their partner’s perspective.

It can be helpful to bring these issues to counselling where, together, we can begin to make sense of what the relationship is. Through our work together, the way forward in the relationship can become clearer.
